Going About
Doing Good
A community of people going about doing good — wherever we are, with whatever we have, one act of kindness at a time.
“…who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”— Acts 10:38
What is #goingaboutdoinggood?
#goingaboutdoinggood is an initiative of THEGOODWORKS LTD — just as the name reads, go somewhere and do something good to people, to nature, to humanity.
You might ask: what kind of “good”? The truth is, “Good” is a broad term, and that is very intentional! It is completely up to all members to do any form of good that they find satisfying — whether that’s feeding someone, cleaning a street, or using your unique skills to help a neighbor.
Fellowship First
We go out after we have sought God for resources and the Holy Spirit in fellowship.
Document the Journey
We capture the emotions, testimonies, communion, and the people — every story matters.
Monthly Rhythm
A monthly series at standard intervals, but members can act at their own pace and convenience.
Annual Growth
Community activities for self-development, opportunity, exposure, and exploration are encouraged.
What We Stand For
The values that guide every edition of our community series.
The “Friday Flow”
Every Good Friday follows a simple 5-step rhythm. No pressure, no rigid rules — just an intentional flow that turns your ordinary day into something extraordinary.
Prepare
Before you step out, pack a small "Kindness Kit" — it could be water, snacks, handwritten notes, or even toiletries. Put it in your bag or car so you're ready whenever the moment comes.
Observe
As you go about your day, keep your eyes open. Watch for the "nudge" — the tired street sweeper, the overwhelmed parent, the quiet person sitting alone. Wherever you see a need, that's your spot.
Execute
Do the act with a sincere heart and a warm smile. It doesn't have to be grand — a bottle of water, a word of encouragement, or simply holding a door open. It's about the heart, not just the hand.
Document (Optional)
If you can, snap a quick photo — of the location, of your "point-of-view," or of the moment itself. Share it with the community to inspire others. No pressure, just when it feels right.
Reflect
At the end of the day, pause. Thank God for the opportunity to be His hands and feet. Journal what you felt, what you learned, and how it changed your perspective.
💡 Cheerful-Tip: “Good” doesn’t have to be expensive. Sometimes the most meaningful acts are the ones that only cost time and intentionality.
